My dear husband, Jim Thatcher, was taken into Cransley two days before he passed away. He had struggled against his prostate/bone cancer for quite a few years and had spent time in Cransley on and off.  He was always treated with care and respect and his wish was to be in Cransley for his final days. He did not want to burden me at the end.  Jim loved to be outdoors and fishing was his great pleasure as he got older and was restricted by his illness.
